Worse experience EVER, and I plan on filing a Better Business Bureau complaint coupled with negative Social Media reviews on various platforms. I was scammed. I was quoted a price and signed for a price based on my items. I was told the price was guaranteed and fixed. When the movers came, they said some AI software predicted that the move would cost another $685. This was outrageous!!!! I was quote 2000 and signed for 2000. I am sue this has happened to other people. All they moved was a bedroom set and boxes. They lowballed the price to get the deal and the on the day of pickup increase the price 685 dollars!!!! Outrageous!!!! This company is scamming people, and it will be reported!!!!

The booking needs to be clearer. I estimated the best I could. My items were moved out of my house and put in storage in a 26' straight truck and was in a 10x20 storage unit. My price more than doubled because I used up square footage of the truck. It pisses me off that I give u square footage and u didn't give me an accurate price. This is what I will tell people. I feel ur schedulers scammed me and purposely gave me the low price because one my stuff. There were also items I disclosed that were not on the list. Casey and all the movers u hired were spectacular. Also when they showed up there was a timeframe delivery date for 2 weeks out from pick up. Had I known that was ur process I could have accommodated, instead u charged me for a straight delivery I believe. Ur quality assurance call should have went over all this. All he asked me is if my list of items was accurate..

Ended up being more than double the quote. Things not put in right areas. The delivery team in general was great. Your sales and operations team? Need work. I don’t need to remind your employees I am a client not a business. I pay you, you don’t pay me, so a little common courtesy and understanding is appreciated. I was talked down to by your operations leader and my contact for the contract went MIA after issues. Good luck. No good review on my end

While the final objective was achieved, same day delivery from Chicago to Wisconsin with no breakage, the process was not smooth. There was confusion between the carrier and iMoving, despite more than one attempt on my part to correct certain inaccuracies in the order.

Peoria Moving Services Are a Click Away
Every move is different. Whether it’s a home, office, or just a few items of heavy furniture, iMoving provides a whole menu of must-have services for moving in and out of Peoria:
Long Distance Moving
You're looking for long distance moving companies in Peoria. Unfortunately, there are about a billion of 'em. You don't have time to contact each mover, enter in your personal info over and over again, and then deal with shady companies that don't know what they're doing.
Fortunately, iMoving is here to help. Shop our marketplace, and get access to hundreds of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs. We even weeded out all the bad moving companies so you only deal with the best of the best.
Local Moving
In the moving industry, anything under 100 miles and within the same city counts as a local move. But whether you're moving across the block or across the county, you still deserve a team you can trust.
Looking for the best local mover in Peoria? iMoving's got you covered. Tell us more about the job, and we'll give you a curated list of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs and your budget.
Packing Services
Paying someone to do all your packing may sound like a pricey addition - or, depending on your previous experience, it may seem like an invitation to get your stuff stolen. Fortunately, with iMoving, we make sure it's neither of those.
We've got a whole network of trusted movers, and some of them offer packing services in Peoria. This means you're getting our same vetted teams to do the wrapping, padding, boxing, and taping. We'll also give you a whole list of quotes so you can pick the team that's best for the job, and best for your budget.
Storage Services
Chances are, your movers aren't gonna let you keep the moving truck in your driveway. Your neighbors probably won't be too happy about it either. But if you still have stuff in the trailer, and you don't have enough space at your new place, what can you do?
Easy. Book Peoria storage with iMoving. We don't just keep track of the guys who do loading and hauling. We know you may have some extra items that need a roof and a locked door until you find takers. And that's why we make it easy to connect with secure and reliable storage before, during, and after your move.
Commercial Moving
As a business owner, you probably have enough on your plate. Do you want to disrupt your day-to-day to pack up a bunch of boxes? We didn't think so.
We get it. We're business owners, too. If you need to reduce downtime and keep the gears turning, you'll need the best commercial moving company in Peoria. And at iMoving, we've made it easier than ever to find the right fit for the job. Whether you've got a mountain of inventory or one of those weirdo tech-bro HQs, we can get it packed with care, and transported on time.
FAQ
If a moving company is expecting you to pay for your entire move up front, run. This is a common tactic for sketchy movers, and if you pay up front, there's no guarantee they'll even deliver your stuff.
On the other hand, paying a down payment before the big day is relatively common. Expect to pay a few hundred bucks, or 5-10% of the price of your move. Also, use iMoving to make sure you aren't dealing with scammers.
Before we even let a mover into our marketplace, we look over megabytes of authentic customer reviews. We also check out their services, their certifications, and their insurance.
To keep the movers in our network honest, iMoving will sometimes have secret shoppers call in, pose as customers, and ask plenty of questions to make sure our carriers are staying legit.
A Peoria move can cost you anywhere from $380 to $9700 and beyond. It all comes down to how much you’re moving, and how far you’re traveling.
Keep in mind, local movers charge per mover, per hour (with about 2 movers per room), and long distance movers charge by weight (or volume) and miles.
Peoria may have decent weather sometimes, but we always recommend a mid-month, mid-week move, in any season but the summer.
Take a word of advice from the iMoving pros: Avoid a June, July, or August move if possible. It’s the most expensive time to move, and it’s usually WAY too hot for hauling boxes.
Moving containers are a great middle ground between a DIY job and hiring full-service movers.
A moving container company will drop off the container at your place, and you can fill it up on your own schedule.
When it's ready to go, just contact the container company and they'll pick it up and transport it for you. It's like having a portable storage unit that gets delivered to your door.
