I desperately needed movers to bring furniture from Woodstock, NY to Watertown, MA after the original company I selected dropped out less than a week before the move date, and I am so lucky that Mimi's was available and willing to pick up the contract. They were friendly, professional, and very comfortable handling my furniture, which included a glass top table, a large old leather couch, and a very heavy double dresser. Everything made it up the stairs into my new place without a scratch. It couldn't have been a smoother move. Highly recommend.

The time changed and it took five hours later. The truck already had someone else’s stuff on it so they had to make three trips which made it even longer. Other than that the three people that moved me were phenomenal.

A couple of issues. A day before the move, I called to add a stop. The movers were not informed of this. Therefore they did not completely understand me when I separated the items into two categories: “Inn”: the first stop was to be the inn where I moved to. They seemed to understand me, but a few minutes after arriving at the Inn, I saw them drive right by it. I was able to contact them by phone. They told me that their instructions were to do one stop only (the storage units). They had not received the change to two stops. So they were talking about refusing to come back to the Inn and unloading everything at the storage unit. Why did they not understand me when I talked about two stops for several hours as they were packing? Was it their limited grasp of English? Anyway, Peter called them and clarified that it was to stops. So they did come to the inn (time spent on resolving this misunderstanding: about 45 minutes. Please do not charge me for that time. They dropped some of the items marked “Inn” at storage. And dropped some of the things marked “Storage” at the Inn. So it’s taking me several hours to correct the known errors and to do quality control on the rest. Thinking of all this and comparing it to experiences with movers in the past, I now doubt that I would hire this company again.

The movers arrived on time and did not damage any furniture. The mover placed an unexpected chair in the lot and needs to go back to the self storage unit to retrieve it.

IMoving communication is terrible. Texts, emails go unanswered. Carrier was switched at last minute with no notification. Could never get the same person to talk to. Rita was bordering on rude, never returned my call. Despite my telling you what size truck I needed, the wrong size was sent. I would never recommend iMoving.

Communication snafus happen but it still happened. However, all the parts of the machine NEED BETTER COMMUNICATION skills. It was very frustrating to NOT hear the same thing from every side and I would hesitate - but not completely reject telling someone about your service

iMoving made mistakes on the scheduling and then kept making the same mistakes repeatedly, even with the same person. I am unlikely to use iMoving again. The mover himself was phenomenal.

The 2 movers were good they were able to move our items safely. This was a big concern of mine. The only issue was that they were late because they went to the wrong address, in another state.

Long Distance Moving
There are a lot of long distance moving companies in Lowell. How do you know which one to pick? And how do you know who you can trust?
At iMoving, we've done the research for you. Before a mover joins our network, we check their safety records, their customer feedback, and their service history to make sure they're up to par. And once they join our marketplace, we check in on them to keep them on top of their game.
Local Moving
Local moving companies in Lowell usually charge per hour, per mover - and it takes about two movers per bedroom. If you're trying to score a great deal on a cross town move (without dealing with a bunch of sketchy moving companies), iMoving is here to make your life easier.
We've got a whole marketplace of over 1000 moving companies, and we make sure each one's good enough for the job by reviewing their services and their customer feedback. We also make it easy to book: Just tell us what you're hauling, and we'll provide custom quotes.

Commercial Moving
You're running a business. You've got clients and customers to keep happy - not to mention an entire team of employees who need to stay focused on the task at hand. A corporate move can throw all that out the window, unless you book the best commercial movers in Lowell through iMoving.
We know every business is different. That's why we let you pick and choose the exact services you need for the exact type of company you're running. From server racks to appliances and inventory, we'll connect you with a team that'll keep it safe, and make sure youre move goes quickly and efficiently.

FAQ
In the moving industry, there are three types of estimates: binding, non-binding, and non-binding, not-too-exceed. When you get a binding estimate, it means you’re getting a flat rate. The amount on your quote is the amount you’ll pay. Binding estimates are a good sign you’re dealing with a reputable mover.
Non-binding estimates can be adjusted before, during and after a move, but non-binding, not-to-exceed estimates can only be adjusted downwards from your initial price.
We always recommend booking your movers at least 2 or 3 months in advance. It may seem like a huge window, but it'll give you plenty of time to plan and prepare. Plus, if you provide a flexible enough moving window, you may end up getting some sweet discounts.
To prepare for a move in Lowell, we recommend taking a few important steps. First, make sure you've got a job lined up at your destination. Secondly, downsize as much as possible before shopping for movers.
If you're doing your own packing, box up your stuff starting with the least-used items, and always pack an essentials bag so you aren't stuck rooting through boxes for your toothbrush or clean underwear.
Every move is different, and if your move involves several flights of stairs, elevators, or extra long hallways or driveways, expect to pay a little extra for the obstacle course.
When you're entering your moving information, make sure you provide accurate details about the layout of your origin and destination. Otherwise, you may end up with some surprise fees.
A Lowell move can cost you anywhere from $178 to $7900 and beyond. It all comes down to how much you’re moving, and how far you’re traveling.
Keep in mind, local movers charge per mover, per hour (with about 2 movers per room), and long distance movers charge by weight (or volume) and miles.
