Jill's Movers were great. They had a problem getting started a little late due to some problem in Dearborn Michigan. Started after 1:00 pm and did not finish until around 6:30pm, then had to drive back to Dearborn. Both of the gentlemen (movers) were very professional and courteous. They both worked very hard and non-stop. I would recommend them any time. Only one problem that still exists: the movers moved two theater style recliner chairs and we cannot find the power cords for the chairs and wonder it the cords were accidently left in the truck or perhaps the movers might remember where they put them. Could you ask them?

I have many times over the last 15 years and this was a disaster. My furniture was scratched and gouged, wheels broken off from my piano. My 2 year old couch had a ripped cushion and black marks on the sides and on all of the cushions-top and bottom. (not repairable with fabric ripped off from the corners) Corner of my buffet was damaged and all of my bedroom furniture was damaged with indents in the wood or scratches. They left the sleeper sofa and chair in my second story on their sides, table upside down and bed not assembled. (couldn't find the screws when they took it down). Last but not least, they broke the edges of my 7 foot air hockey table. Purely abusive, piggish, uncaring employee that stacked all of my furniture in the truck like some cheap merchandise you are taking to the dump. I am heart broken since I have taken pride and care of my furniture whether new or old for all of these years. I would never have guessed a professional moving company could have done this. Never use this company

Grand Rapids Moving Services Are a Click Away
Every move is different. Whether it’s a home, office, or just a few items of heavy furniture, iMoving provides a whole menu of must-have services for moving in and out of Grand Rapids:
Long Distance Moving
You're looking for long distance moving companies in Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, there are about a billion of 'em. You don't have time to contact each mover, enter in your personal info over and over again, and then deal with shady companies that don't know what they're doing.
Fortunately, iMoving is here to help. Shop our marketplace, and get access to hundreds of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs. We even weeded out all the bad moving companies so you only deal with the best of the best.
Local Moving
In the moving industry, anything under 100 miles and within the same city counts as a local move. But whether you're moving across the block or across the county, you still deserve a team you can trust.
Looking for the best local mover in Grand Rapids? iMoving's got you covered. Tell us more about the job, and we'll give you a curated list of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs and your budget.
Packing Services
Paying someone to do all your packing may sound like a pricey addition - or, depending on your previous experience, it may seem like an invitation to get your stuff stolen. Fortunately, with iMoving, we make sure it's neither of those.
We've got a whole network of trusted movers, and some of them offer packing services in Grand Rapids. This means you're getting our same vetted teams to do the wrapping, padding, boxing, and taping. We'll also give you a whole list of quotes so you can pick the team that's best for the job, and best for your budget.
Storage Services
Chances are, your movers aren't gonna let you keep the moving truck in your driveway. Your neighbors probably won't be too happy about it either. But if you still have stuff in the trailer, and you don't have enough space at your new place, what can you do?
Easy. Book Grand Rapids storage with iMoving. We don't just keep track of the guys who do loading and hauling. We know you may have some extra items that need a roof and a locked door until you find takers. And that's why we make it easy to connect with secure and reliable storage before, during, and after your move.
Commercial Moving
As a business owner, you probably have enough on your plate. Do you want to disrupt your day-to-day to pack up a bunch of boxes? We didn't think so.
We get it. We're business owners, too. If you need to reduce downtime and keep the gears turning, you'll need the best commercial moving company in Grand Rapids. And at iMoving, we've made it easier than ever to find the right fit for the job. Whether you've got a mountain of inventory or one of those weirdo tech-bro HQs, we can get it packed with care, and transported on time.

FAQ
In the moving industry, there are three types of estimates: binding, non-binding, and non-binding, not-too-exceed. When you get a binding estimate, it means you’re getting a flat rate. The amount on your quote is the amount you’ll pay.
Binding estimates are a good sign you’re dealing with a reputable mover. Non-binding estimates can be adjusted before, during and after a move, but non-binding, not-to-exceed estimates can only be adjusted downwards from your initial price.
All movers are legally required to offer a minimum level of insurance coverage. Unfortunately, this amounts to about $0.60 per pound of items lost, damaged, or destroyed. Did your 4 pound Macbook get broken in transit? You're only gonna get $2.40.
Fortunately, iMoving can connect you with movers who offer full value protection. This means if something gets damaged or broken, you'll be reimbursed the actual price.
To prepare for a move in Grand Rapids, we recommend taking a few important steps. First, make sure you've got a job lined up at your destination. Secondly, downsize as much as possible before shopping for movers.
If you're doing your own packing, box up your stuff starting with the least-used items, and always pack an essentials bag so you aren't stuck rooting through boxes for your toothbrush or clean underwear.
Movers need to have an official Department of Transportation (DOT) number, which you should be able to find on their website. If a moving company handles long distance moves that cross state lines, they'll also need a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) number. Don't forget to check reviews and look for any insurance info they may feature on their website.
A Grand Rapids move can cost you anywhere from $260 to $9100 and beyond. It all comes down to how much you’re moving, and how far you’re traveling. Keep in mind, local movers charge per mover, per hour (with about 2 movers per room), and long distance movers charge by weight (or volume) and miles.
